I loved my peacock design painted by my friend Dhanraj from Face Paint India! 🦚🩵✨ he painted the peacock and the whale shark, and I painted the sunflowers for him, then we got an amazing lunch at a restaurant nearby! He doesn’t have Instagram but you can see more of his work on YouTube @Face_Paint_India.
I’m traveling in Indonesia now, but looking forward to returning home in late April and getting back to more face painting in AZ & Milwaukee. ☺️🌈

Happy Holi!!! 🌈🪷🧡 last year, I visited Vrindavan, India to experience the Holi celebrations, something I’ve wanted to do since even before I started face painting at 13 years old! Of course, I had to bring some face paints along, and the locals we met loved that we were already painted before getting covered in Holi powder 🥰🎨 Holi is an ancient Hindu tradition celebrating the arrival of Spring, the triumph of good over evil, and the divine love between Krishna and Radha.

Vrindavan is a spiritual center where Krishna spent his childhood, famous for its grand Holi celebrations lasting for at least 2 weeks! ✨ a highlight of our trip was getting locked out of our apartment, our neighbors noticing us stuck in the hallway, inviting us over for lunch on their balcony, and telling us a bit of the story of Radha & Krishna. Another was when we were taking pictures with a cute family (3rd pic), a monkey jumped off a nearby building and stole my prescription sunglasses on his way down! A man across the street ran over and chased the monkey up another building, trading a juice box with him to get my glasses back for me. We also visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, and the city of Mumbai. And I met up with a face painting friend of mine who lives near Mumbai - will share pictures of that next. Overall, an incredible trip. 🥰🧡💖

We will be on break from painting at all public events including the Gilbert Farmer’s Market - until the outbreak’s reach in the US is better understood & eventually calms down.
